Little Simz plunges profound into her relationship with her antagonized father on “I Love You, I Hate You.”
The 27-year old-London rapper’s profoundly expected fourth collection Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, is one bit nearer to deliver with the drop of her new single “I Love You, I Hate You”. Simz revealed to Complex that when maker Inflo asked her “what do you love and what do you disdain?’ she “knew the appropriate response right away.”
Simz flies between the two limits of adoration and disdain bar-by-bar, changing from empathy through the eyes of a develop grown-up, to loathe from her more youthful self who was profoundly scarred by her dad’s activities. Inflo’s amazing ensemble and symphony take off around and around Simz’s rugged streams, just grounded by the comparing assertion of both love and disdain repeating after each line.
At times I Might Be Introvert will be the primary full-length project we’ve heard from Simz since the widely praised 2019 collection Gray Area. The mind blowing lyricist dropped an EP, Drop 6, in isolate to hold fans over and afterward tumbled off the matrix to make. Simz returned longer than a year after the fact in April 2021 with the main true to life single “Loner” trailed by the R&B jam “Lady” including Cleo Sol and exploratory “Rollin Stone.”
