Obasi Jackson speaks on Pop Smoke’s passing in a new freestyle on his Instagram.
Obasi Jackson, sibling of the late New York rapper, Pop Smoke, dropped another free-form on his Instagram giving his own twist on Staten Island rapper CJ’s hit single, “Whoopty.”
The free-form sees Jackson rapping regarding the demise of his sibling; “Why they put you in a casket?” he asks on the track. CJ as of late said that “Whoopty” was initially enlivened by Pop Smoke: “We had lost Pop [Smoke], may he find happiness in the hereafter, and I felt that we were feeling the loss of that energy, that New York bop, that New York loot,” he told HipHopDX. “You realize what I’m talking about? We was feeling the loss of that entire path.”
